I’m a former opera singer and self-taught artist who learned to draw in the most unlikely of places — the New York City subway! This odd training ground helped me to develop a keen eye for detail and to appreciate the beauty and worth of every person I see. It also taught me how to capture my subjects quickly and helped me to develop my signature style which balances emotion, gesture, line and sparing color to tell the story of the person — or scene — in front of me. My minimal, sensitive and elegant style allows me to create an artistic snapshot of a fleeting moment in time. 

 

Drawn On Your Day enables me to blend my passion for drawing with my genuine love of people and deep desire to share the gift of art. My ability to observe the details that truly tell the story of a moment in time, or reveal the spirit of a person is the foundation of my work. To thoughtfully — and quickly ---  transform those details into a spontaneous work of art is my forté.
